The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Private Equity team as an Analyst/Associate. 

The ideal candidate will have affinity with B2B software, strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial modelling, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

As an Investment Associate, you will work across all phases of the PE investment process: sourcing, due diligence, deal structuring, value creation, portfolio management, and exit. 

From day one, you'll be a member of the investment team and play an active role in the origination of new investment opportunities, assist in deal execution, follow-up portfolio companies, and actively engage with management teams. We expect you to build out a relevant network in B2B SaaS, develop domain knowledge, and become a Fortino ambassador in our ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Analysis: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial statement review.
• Financial Modelling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment decisions and portfolio management.
• Deal Execution: Assist in the execution of transactions, including drafting investment memos, coordinating with external advisors, and participating in negotiations.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor portfolio companies, track financial and operational performance, and assist in strategic initiatives to drive value creation.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external investors, summarizing investment performance and key developments.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential investment opportunities.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and portfolio companies to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a related field (such as software).
