Job Title: Venture Capital Intern

Duration: 6 Months, starting March 2024

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands (part-time remote possible)

Fortino Capital is on the hunt for a driven and tech-savvy individual to take on a Venture Capital Internship within our dynamic team. This is your chance to delve into the vibrant world of venture capital, gaining hands-on experience across the investment landscape. From sourcing to exit strategies, you will play an active role in shaping the technology-driven investment decisions that underpin our firm's success. This internship is a unique platform to immerse yourself in the industry, engage with cutting-edge startups, and contribute meaningfully to Fortino Capital's investment processes and growth trajectories.

Responsibilities:

• Work through the VC investment cycle: source deals, perform due diligence, assist in deal structuring, and contribute to portfolio management and exit strategies.
• Build and maintain a network to identify new investment opportunities
• Analyse technology trends and perform sector deepdives to inform investment decisions
• Engage with startup founders and drive opportunities forward within the Fortino framework.
• Drive due diligence efforts, contribute to investment memos, and support transaction processes.
• Get involved in marketing initiatives and assist in organizing events to promote our brand and expand our network.

About You

• Relevant experience in VC, banking, consulting, or tech startups is beneficial, but not mandatory. Drive and a demonstrable passion for technology & entrepreneurship are valued more highly.
• Strong analytical abilities and a technical background in areas like computer science, data science/AI, or business informatics.
• Self-starter with a track record of working independently and driving results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build trust and rapport with entrepreneurs and team members.
• Proficiency in English; Dutch and/or German is a plus.
